A UTI Treatment that Skips the Antibiotics

Researchers have succeeded in treating urinary tract infections (UTIs) without the use of antibiotics in mice, according to a paper published this week in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. While UTIs are currently treatable with antibiotics, these results offer a potential solution to the growing problem of antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria. More read.
